Facing the beachfront, Peponi Hotel Lamu - Kenya offers 4-star accommodation in Shela and features an outdoor swimming pool, garden and terrace. 400 metres from Shela Beach and a few steps from Mnarani House, the property features ski-to-door access, as well as a bar. The accommodation provides free shuttle service, room service and currency exchange for guests. This hotel is a home from home. The quality, variety and value of the food is exceptional. The staff are second to none. And the owner was superb and made us feel very much at home. Very difficult to put into words how great this place is. Just GO THERE!! You can thank me later.

This historical Arabian-style building is located in the UNESCO-listed town of Lamu. It is less than 300 metres from the seafront and 3 km from the white sandy beach.
The bright rooms at Subira House have either a patio or a balcony and some have sea views and free Wi-Fi. Every room has a fan, a seating area, and a dining area.
Mostly, I was totally relaxed and the longer O stayed, the more relaxed I became. It is very well maintained and beautifully renovated hotel in the middle of the old town of Luma. Great effort has been made to reduce its environmental footprint and it is very eco friendly.

BREAKFAST - Good. & Served on time. POOL - could be better maintained & treated, was a bit cloudy and water was not clear. Needs modern tiles for finishing. FACILITIES - Drainage, seemed poor as water kept flooding in the washroom. Some times water was unavailable. Better plumbing for water and sewerage system needed. Otherwise, staff are super nice and always available for assistance.

Staying at Beytul Habaib was a great cultural experience. The mix of modern and traditional decor was beautiful, and David's service was excellent. The two-bedroom apartment was perfect for our family. We enjoyed cooking and felt right at home. The views were amazing, with stunning scenes of the island and ocean from every angle. Being close to the beach was a big plus, and my children loved playing there.

I enjoyed the breakfast a lot, the location was great, there are many boats docked right next to the hotel waiting to take you to any other part of Lamu and the staff was always available to help organize other outings.

Very authentic and stylish home with attention to the smallest details. Rooms were spacious and the shared kitchen was well-equipped with anything you might need. Cute rooftop with a sea view. The on-site caretaker was always positive and helpful. Just steps away from the main square, near the fort.
