Very nice and relaxed place managed by equally nice and warm people. The manager of Thambu Illam, Mathu ensured that all our requirements met precisely and Sudha ensured that our stay at the property was comfortable. Both gentlemen said call their personal phone numbers anytime if we need any assistance. The team was very friendly with our children and the kids did not want to leave.

This was such an enjoyable stay, the staff became our away from home family, talking with us and making us feel so welcome. A big shout out to front of house Lucksheeta and Sanjeeva (sorry if spelling is wrong) and wait staff Pradikshan and Scoti who quickly became familiar with our preferences and had good fun chats with us. Friendly team lead by wonderful manager who made a point of introducing himself (& for the life of me I can't remember his name sorry!!)
The hotel was much better than I was expecting with high quality fit out and absolutely beautiful pool. Fox Jaffna is a very polished boutique hotel. The food was also delicious and varied. Recommended!
Location, push bikes to use, museum and art gallery were added bonus.

This historic 4 room villa has been beautifully renovated and is a quiet oasis in a busy city. Its location is also very good, being a 20-30 minute walk to the fort, the Jaffna library, central markets and the impressive Nallur Kovil. The pool is lovely for a refreshing dip and downtime after a busy day sightseeing. Madhu, Sutha and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Thambu Illam.
Great location and feel like staying in a resort. variety of SriLankan breakfast and dinner was excellent. staff are very friendly and always there to help. my comment based on the Deluxe double room I was staying. very clean and bright room and very clean.
