They organised all of our tours and called a taxi when we needed one. The facilities around the property were spectacular, and we loved getting to swim in the pool at night. It felt magical. It was quite overcast while we were there, so we didn’t have the view of the volcano, but that didn’t detract from the amazing environment at all. Great variety for breakfast. Close to many restaurants and the town centre. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful surprise! The park is much larger than you would think and has so much to explore and do. Very impressive place. Very relaxing. The rooms are a generous size with comfortable beds. The property is big with lots to see. Since it’s not a place with a lot of rooms, it feels very private and quiet. The family of gentlemen that manage and run the place were great with communication and helping find guides for tours and even getting a birthday cake for my daughter’s birthday that happened while we were staying there. Fantastic place. Great communication. Terrific team of people managing and helping. This would also be a great place for a small group retreat or family trip. It’s close to Arenal and La Fortuna without the crowds, hustle and bustle of those areas.

Essence Arenal is an ecological hotel surrounded by Tropical Forest that offers a wellness center to tourists, it is surrounded by gardens and beautiful views of Lake Arenal, the Arenal Volcano and Cerro Chato. The beautiful location and jungle grounds were fantastic. The staff was wonderful, friendly and very helpful. The vegan breakfast and dinners were so delicious, freshly made and locally sourced. We would love to come back in the future.
