Set in Dambach-la-Ville, 17 km from Le Haut Koenigsbourg Castle, Le Refuge du Rempart offers accommodation with a sauna. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. A very welcome haven after a long day's walk. This place is outstanding. We had the room right next to the ramparts, so close we could touch them. The best hosts ever. The room was modern, comfortable, quiet, and creative. Excellent breakfast. Wish we had stayed longer. Highly recommended.

The location is ideal for travelers with a car, as it’s conveniently situated between Strasbourg and Colmar, making it easy to explore both cities. The apartment was very clean and exceptionally well equipped, especially the kitchen — it had everything we needed, even for a longer stay. The outdoor space was also a highlight: you can enjoy a barbecue in front of the apartment, and there’s even a small pond where fishing is possible. The hosts were outstanding — friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. Despite our late arrival, they met us personally, showed us around the home, explained all the details, and gave us useful tips for local attractions and restaurants. They live in the same yard, so they were always easy to reach by phone if needed. Our kids especially loved the small farm setting. They enjoyed spending time with the animals — playing with the cat and dogs, and even feeding the horses. The fresh eggs from the yard were a lovely gesture! Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and would gladly come back!
