The Elewana Tortilis Camp was in a beautiful setting and the staff pulled out all of the stops to make our stay memorable. From the morning coffee/tea and cookies at wake-up to the breakfast in the bush and sundowner on top of a hill with staff Masai teaching us about their culture, the staff outdid themselves. The guide knew exactly how to track the elusive cats so that we were able to see a lioness and her 5 cubs and a cheetah and her 5 cubs. Not to mention the herds of elephants and many giraffes! What an amazing sight! Peris, Chris, Jimma, Ben, Graeme and Sandy, as well as all of the other staff whose names I have sadly forgotten, made for a fantastic safari experience!

This spacious, fully-furnished tent opens onto a wooden patio. It contains a 4-poster bed with a mosquito net and a private bathroom with a claw-foot tub. Loved our time at Kilima - the staff was extremely friendly and even gave us a room upgrade! We were very pleasantly surprised with the food - everything was delicious and super well-seasoned. Chef Edward came out to meet us as well. The location is great, right next to the entrance to the park. Just keep in mind if you come from Nairobi you'll probably have to drive through the park to get to the hotel and consequently pay the entry fee, which is valid for 24h). The view of Mount Kilimanjaro is absolutely beautiful and visible from all rooms. We were initially hesitant to book after reading a review mentioning a problem with late arrivals, but our experience was completely different. We arrived late, and everything went smoothly. No one tried to overcharge or scam us, they treated us very well throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Ein tolles Camp. Essen sehr lecker auch wenn es etwas hochpreisig ist. Wir haben uns eine Lunchbox zur Fahrt mitgenommen (bezahlt) und diese war sehr lecker und mit tollen Produkten zusammengestellt. Mit Maurice unserem Kellner haben wir eine angenehme und lustige Zeit verbracht. Abends am Lagerfeuer 🔥 war es richtig schön im Camp. Nachts konnte man sogar die Hyänen hören.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer direkt mit Blick auf den Kilimanjaro gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Man muss sich natürlich im Klaren darüber sein, dass es keine Luxusunterkunft ist und man zwischendurch au ich mal ein Tierchen im Zimmer wiederfinden kann. Wir wurden zum Beispiel nachts 2x von einer Maus besucht, die sich an unseren Keksen zu schaffen gemacht hat. War für uns jetzt nicht tragisch, aber wenn man da nicht der Freund von ist, sollte man davon absehen etwas essbares mit in die Unterkunft zu bringen. Ansonsten ist das Camp sehr nahegelegen am Amboseli Nationalpark und auch das Essen vor Ort war immer sehr lecker. Auch das Personal war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sollten wir den weiten Weg nach Kenia noch einmal auf uns nehmen, kommen wir gerne wieder!
