Viraj is an incredible host. During our stay, he made sure we were well taken care of and helped arrange an excursion to Diyaluma Falls. His brother guided us to the falls, and he was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. One evening, there was a heavy storm, and Viraj provided us the option to stay at his family's hotel, which had an almost equally amazing view as his lodge. We took this offer to avoid the storm and were welcomed by a warm family and treated to the most incredible homemade Sri Lankan food. We are so happy with our stay and are determined to return to Haputale to stay at the lodge for the full night and see the amazing sunrise view once again. If you're looking for an experiential stay with amazing views, while being surrounded by kind and welcoming people, this is a great option.
