Located in Udawalawe, within 11 km of Udawalawe National Park, Makulu Safari Camping is an accommodation offering river views. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The property offers a shuttle service and features a garden and outdoor fireplace. If you are coming to Udawalawe for a safari then this is the place to stay. Located very close to the National Park entrance this camp had us feeling like we were one with nature. Our room tent/cabin was ready on arrival. It is not a hotel so you should know going in that this is a camping adventure. Beds were comfy and cam with very good mosquito nets. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was fine. There is no A/C but you do get a floor fan and the room also has plenty of outlets for charging. You get your own private deck in front of your tent with chairs and a beautiful view of the river. I would suggest allowing them to prepare all of your meals. They were all delicious and came at a fair price considering there is nowhere else to eat within a mile or two. The camp prepares and takes car of everything for you, meals, free river tour, and free night walk after dinner. They also will book your safari for you. Once you arrive, you do nothing. It was absolutely amazing.

Featuring full-day security, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The guest house features river views, a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. Asanka is a great guy. He arranged everything for us. The safari trip with Janaka, the amazing tour guide, was incredible, the dinner at the cottage was very good, very comfortable and cool. Amazing structure. Don't miss the opportunity to visit him and his wife.

The rooms at the hotel come with air conditioning, a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a safety deposit box and a private bathroom with a bidet, free toiletries and a hairdryer. The units will provide guests with a desk and a kettle. Amazing luxury glamping experience with everything we needed! Lovely clean rooms with outdoor bathroom and good A/C. The dinner was great and we loved the pool, which had monkeys in the trees and bats flying over in the evening. We did the safari booking with the hotel which was fantastic, Santhan was a great tour and made our experience spectacular - he took us down different routes to the other jeeps and we seemed to see a lot more than others, he was also very knowledgeable about the different animals. We saw elephants, monkeys, peacocks, deer, crocodile and water buffalo which was amazing! Thank you so much to Santhan and the hotel staff.

Steps from Udawalawe National Park, Kottawatta Village offers a peaceful and scenic getaway from the city and night camping. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The on-site Rose Restaurant serves Western, Chinese and Sri Lankan food. The setting of the hotel, in a large expanse of land, with gorgeous trees and plants. There is a pond with fish (and we saw a BIG monitor lizard swimming), just the whole atmosphere was great. We had a deluxe air con room and a luxury tent. Both were great and very good value. The food was really good and the guys in the restaurant were so friendly, attentive and kind. We loved our stay at this hotel.

International and traditional Sri Lankan dishes are served by the chef on demand, at the main restaurant. Athgira River Camping offers a great outdoor dining experience as well as a barbecue dinner and cooking demonstrations. Real wild cocktails and a nice wine selection are available as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the pool area was nice. They arranged the safari to Udawalawe National Park. The driver took us around the park.

Featuring carpet flooring, tents come with an outdoor living area and a private bathroom with hot-water showers. Includes a torch, umbrellas and a luggage rack.

- Pre-dinner drinks around the campfire and wine during dinner This ecolodge was enjoyable for my children, husband and myself. The tents were roomy and had flushing toilets and warm showers. The dinners were elegant on white tablecloth under the stars. The safari guide and driver did an excellent job pointing out elephant herds, birds and crocodiles at this park. I recommend this lodge.
