Great accommodation and a beautiful garden were we had dinner every night next to the camp fire. The full day safari is a must! We saw so much wild life, including a leopard and a bear and at lunch time we had a perfect spot at the river for a picnic and a swim. The host, Marc, went above and beyond to give us the best experience in Yala. He is fun and very knowledgeable about literally every animal and bird in the park. The next day we did a half safari and for the afternoon Marc had organized a safari in Udawalale (with the elephants) with their female ranger Chathu. She is wonderful, fun and knowledgeable and we had such a great time. We will definitely come back next year!

Yala Mobile Camping inside the National Park is situated in Katagamuwa. This campground features free private parking and full-day security. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the campground's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. We initially thought this booking would be similar to other standard camping sites, but we were delighted to discover that this is genuine mobile camping inside Yala National Park—a truly unique offering. We understand that securing the necessary government permissions is a lengthy process, often requiring at least a week's advance notice. Although we made our reservation just one day prior, the team worked hard to coordinate everything. While this meant we had to wait a few extra hours at the main gate, the effort was absolutely worthwhile, providing an amazing, lifetime experience deep in the wild. We enjoyed a full-day and a half-day safari, and during both excursions, we were lucky enough to consistently spot leopards, elephants, and a wealth of other animals. The entire experience was incredibly rewarding, and we are 100% satisfied with our choice. Thank you to the dedicated team for taking such great care of us during our stay inside the park.

Beautiful stay that transported me away to nature. The camp was stunning, with amazing outdoor meals, wonderful trails, and comfortable and well appointed tents. Beyond the site itself, everyone there was so caring, attentive, and knowledgeable. The safari was AMAZING- fun, educational, and we were lucky enough to spot a leopard and even a jungle cat. This is thanks to a keen eye and ability to know where to go, which was also away from the really busy sites so it felt much more private and enjoyable than expected.

Situated in Tanamalwila, 34 km from Udawalawe National Park and 26 km from Tissa Wewa, Thanamal-villa features accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden with a barbecue. Prasad was the nicest host we've had in Sri Lanka so far (and everyone in Sri Lanka has been very nice). Him and his family made us dinner at their place, and he can also arrange a safari around Lunugamvehera National Park (we had already arranged it). The place is just off the main road where the bus stop is, but secluded enough that all you hear are birds and insects. There's a nice garden outside and a creek where some monkeys were chilling during the day. The cabin had AC and fridge and it was very comfortable overall.

Very nice service, amazing tent, beautiful breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don't book somewhere else safari tour, we had one day with highly recommended company and next day with them, it is good that we took this decision, it was many times more enjoyable, nice car, professional driver and ranger!!! Also we really enjoyed the stay with dog, he was taking care of us, sleeping outside, and didn't let any animals next to the tent. Nice protective dog, just keep in mind that this is not a pet. They are still semi wild, so needs to give them space and to know how to behave. Highly recommended place

The safari was fantastic, and we were incredibly fortunate to spot both a leopard and a sloth bear!
