Gemütliche kleine Lodge direkt am Fluss mit Pool. Die Häuschen sind schön eingerichtet und alles war blitzsauber. Es gibt einen kleinen Pool und sogar einen Spa. Das Abendessen auf der wunderschönen Terrasse war sehr lecker. Das Besitzerpaar und das Personal sind extrem freundlich.

Comfortable rooms, very friendly and competent staff. Game drive and Chobe River cruise organized by the lodge highly recommended. Excellent base for excursions along the Chobe River Front.

This houseboat includes a view over the Okavango river and private bathroom with shower. It also has a wardrobe and a mosquito net. Of all the lodges we stayed at in Namibia, Ralf’s Lodge @Ndhovu was hands-down, and by far the best, most authentic, most hospitable, biggest bang for the buck! What makes a huge difference as we’ve discovered with all of our lodges, are those that are owner occupied, always give you much better service, and that is what you will find here! Also, the fact that they have two offerings waterside in essentially house, booths, are the only ones on the Kavango River that offered this amenity. We were in River side one, an outside our deck on the water, was a bloat of hippos numbering probably a couple dozen! What a joy, and treat watching this bloat frolic in the water and do their thing until 10 AM more or less, when they headed to the opposite side of the river, to graze and sunbathe, always returning an hour or so before dusk, to entertain us once again! The vibe is very relaxed at this camp, which makes a huge difference. It’s easy to mingle with other guests, make friends, enjoy Rolf’s staff, and his company, especially the fire pit after dinner each night!

Amazing place, right near the river and Popa Falls. Great place to relax after many days spent camping in the bush. Helpful staff and delicious food. Definitely coming back if i'm in the area.

Dieses Zimmer ist 20 m² groß. Die Shametu River Lodge begrüßt Sie am Ufer des Okavango River, 6,5 km von Divundu entfernt mit Blick auf die Wasserfälle von Popa. Great welcome. Absolutely fantastic for birds and wildlife. Could easily spend hours enjoying the stunning view from the room and grounds. Everyone friendly and helpful, the manageress was lovely, coming to speak with us at meals. Sundowner Boat trip fabulous, great guide. To have the amazing Mahangu Core Reserve only 15 minutes away was excellent, Elephant, Giraffe, Hippo and so much more. The food was delicious, catering for our vegetarian diet. For birders the views of Rock Pratincoles just incredible, I saw over 150 species of bird in a day in this area. Would love to return again.

Guests will find a stovetop, a refrigerator and kitchenware in the kitchenette. The tent also features a barbecue. Wir hatten ursprünglich drei Nächte Camping2Go gebucht und haben dann nochmal verlängert. Einerseits kann man so gut entspannen an dem Ort und andererseits ist es wirklich aufregend, die Nilpferde im Zelt zu hören. Das Zelt steht quasi direkt am Fluss und ist sehr modern und die Betten gemütlich. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Lebensmittel bekommt man 20km entfernt in Kongola. Das Buffet abends war lecker und die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr lieb, vor allen Dingen der Security Guard in den ersten Nächten! Von der Terasse des Restaurants konnte man abends die Nilpferde beobachten, es gibt aber kein extra Licht. Wenn sie raus kommen sieht man das meist also nicht oder schlecht. Jede Nacht läuft ein Guard herum (auch nah um das Zelt) und schaut, dass die Nilpferde nicht zu nah ans Zelt kommen. Ich glaube man will auch nicht, dass sie das Gras fressen. Aber dadurch fühlt man sich auf jeden Fall sicher und ist es auch. In der ersten Nacht war es noch ein wenig spooky, wenn da jemand ums Zelt läuft und wir hätten uns gefreut, wenn die Nilpferde gefühlt direkt an die Zelttür geklopft hätten. Aber das war schon alles gut und wichtig so! Beim Boat Cruise sind wir den Nilpferden dann echt sehr nah gekommen, aber man hatte immer das Gefühl, dass der Guide die Tiere respektiert und weiß was er tut. Das war uns sehr wichtig! Ebenfalls zu empfehlen ist der Game Drive. Es geht zum Horseshoe Bend und man kann mit Glück echt unfassbar viele Elefanten sehen! Bei beiden Touren sind Getränke und Snacks inklusive.

This tent has a kitchenware, kitchen and toaster. Die Unterkunft Zambezi Mubala Camp, die über einen Außenpool, einen Garten und eine Terrasse verfügt, bietet Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in Katima... Sehr schöne Lage direkt am Fluss. Hauptgrund sind die Brutkolonien der Karminspinte. Wir haben einen Ausflug mit dem Boot gemacht und sind dann ca. 500m zu Fuß weiter. Auf Stühlen konnten wir bequem die Karminspinte fotografieren. Ein ganzes Feld voll. Super. Abendessen war sehr lecker mit Blick auf den Zambesi.
