It was a real privilege to be able to spend two nights at this fantastic location. Our hut was very comfortable and the nearby shared kitchen and bathroom hut was well equipped. Our host Alana was very welcoming and provided lots of useful information. We spent a lovely day at the station doing the nearby suggested walks and were lucky enough to watch the early morning clouds lift and get a view later on of Mount Cook. The clear skies on our second night afforded us a great view of the Milky Way. By the way, the gravel road up to the station is by no means difficult to negotiate and the end result is most definitely worth it.

Upon checking in I was greeted warmly by a gentleman who also gave me a lot of great information regarding the area. The cabin was a bit close to the road but I had no issues with noise as traffic was minimal at night. The unit is newer and had everything I needed for my stay.

The peace and quiet, the well thought out tiny home with everything we needed, and the extremely comfortable bed was perfect. The shower was amazing!
