Moon Light Luxury Camp offers rooms in Bidiyah. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. It was a great experience. It exceeded our expectations in every sense. Sleeping in de desert is a unique experience but the people of the moon light luxury camp (both staff and the other guests) made it an even more exceptional experience. Really, it was just great. The dinner and the breakfast we had there were incredible. Spending some time talking to each other around the fire under the light of the moon and the stars was so nice.

Adventurer Camp is offering accommodation in Al Wāşil. There is a restaurant serving Middle Eastern cuisine, and free private parking is available. We absolutely loved our stay here, was one of the highlights of our trip. The team did their best to make it an amazing experience for their guests. We stayed 2 nights as we never had been to the desert before and that was a great choice. We were picked up by their 4x4, and we did the dune bashing and sunset viewing the same evening (costs 50 OMR in total for this). There is no sunset like in the desert.. The camp was lovely, very clean, food was nice and the bed the nicest we had all holiday. At night we could see the milky way and so many stars, even from the bed you have a little window to see the moon and the stars. We watched the sunrise from the top of the dune and experienced the campfire with local dessert and tea in the evening. The hospitality of the people was super, the rooms included own shower/toilet/sink/mirror/electricity plugs. Some other activities included sandboarding, camel riding and desert hiking.

The host and staff were wonderful, taking excellent care of all our needs. Sightseeing tours are available around the property. The luxury tent has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. This place is outstanding! I loved everything about the camp: the place, the people, the delicious dinner and the camel ride. So cool! I was a bit skeptical about the comfort of the tent, but in the end it was cozy, clean, and so quiet. The owners of the camp are the best!

All units are fitted with a balcony boasting outdoor furniture. The units at the luxury tent are equipped with a private bathroom and bed linen.

The luxury tent has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. The location is perfect, breakfast and dinner very fine, this camp gives you the feeling to really visit the desert, while making sure that you have everything you need. Very clean tent, shower and toilet, excellent bed, all perfect. If one wants to experience desert in a very safe and still authentic way, do not book a chalet with pool, book a quality very large tent from a local person, Ali, who grow up himself, with his camels, in the desert, only 2 km away.

Thousand Stars Desert Camp provides air-conditioned rooms in Bidiyah. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service.

All units at the luxury tent are equipped with a seating area. A balcony with an outdoor dining area and mountain views is offered in all units. The units include a private bathroom, free toiletries and bed linen. My wife and I began to consider our options as we followed a stranger in a foreign country into the empty desert to stay at a camp we weren’t sure truly existed. Sure, Oman has ridiculously low crime rate, but the possibilities of what awaited us were endless. After a 20 minute drive through bedouin camps and an empty sea of sand we were relieved to find the camp as pictured on the site. However, shortly after setting up for bed, the camp was hit by a storm which was extremely rare to the area. I stood there for 30 minutes holding the pole of the tent from inside, so it didn’t collapse on us, as the rain and wind pattered the canvas. If I could go back in time to the moment we started our journey… I would do it a million times over. Thousand Stars is a passion project started by Ali and his companion, and cared for by a truly honorable and wonderful caretaker - Sadam. It is not a 5 star resort run by a board of trustees with millions of investment dollars. It is 3 men, who put their blood sweat and tears into each and every night. We started the evening off by having tea, coffee and fruits with Ali and discussing life. Shortly after, Ali ensured we were comfortable and left us to be. We were the only couple there that night so we had the whole camp to ourselves. There are usually 2-3 tents available per night. My wife and I spent some time chatting under the moonlight, but called it early as we saw a storm approaching. Sadam was working hard to cover the dining tent with a tarp so that we could be comfortable while eating dinner. The storm came, and yes, there was a short bit of time where I had to hold the tent up but this was no fault of the camp - just nature. Despite the storm, Sadam trekked over to our tent from his to make sure we were ok. Right after the storm ended I heard the roar of a car. It was Ali again, who drove all the way back just to make sure everything was ok.
