The hotel itself is a stunning sanctuary, and my time there was nothing short of enchanting. Amazing country home with so much history snd laid-back exceptional surroundings. The staff, especially Kate, really made our stay fun and bespoke. The restaurant and chef were so spot-on and it was overall a great escape from the hustle and bustle in a place that feels like home (but with a much better garden!)

The staff was so friendly, food was unbelievable amazing, rooms where beautiful and very comfortable, the grounds of the hotel where beautiful and the scenery was great and the town was nice and quite. Me and the girlfriend will be going back soon

Warm welcome, a good room and large bathroom, big fluffy towels. Cosy bar, great dining and wines. Polite helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was also good, copious with plenty of choices. Overall a great place to stay on my own in a quiet location and handy for bus or train travel to Edinburgh.
