United KingdomHaybes is a sleepy village about 3 hours from Calais along the French/Belgian border. This is a great place pre/post crossing, to relax and recharge in the fresh air. The hotel is historic, whilst also having all you need - a comfortable bed in a temperate room. We dined in the restaurant, and would recommend this. The food was sublime, offering local Ardennes dishes, some with a twist. We opted for the breakfast, which again was a chance for the chef to showcase some local dishes, such as the maison brioche. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Excellent food in restaurant in evenings and excellent friendly restaurant service.
Good sized bedrooms and comfortable beds.
Lovely setting in Forêt d'Orient.
Didn't use golf course or spa so can't comment.
