The hosts don't speak English, but they are so welcoming and communication goes via google translate, which works fine. You can park your car just at their gate (expect a steep road there). The room looks very new. We would definitely recommend a stay here, especially because of the hospitality of the hosts and the delicious breakfast we received!

The room was comfy and clean. We loved the location as it was perfect right at the bazar, also the host its friendly and ready to assist with anything. Would 10/10 recommend. We also ate dinner & breakfast at his restaurant and the food was delicious.

Very welcoming owners - they treated us so nicely and they made sure we had everything we need. The rooms have an amazing view over Gjirokaster and the castle, it's lovely to sit outside on one of the balconies. Everything is reachable by foot: the castle, the city center, and the famous bridge. If you're staying in Gjirokaster, you won't regret staying at Himalayas! Oh, and the breakfast is delicious!

Even though we only stayed for one night, it was hard to no notice the good service! Joana was helpful from the start with a good guide to get ourself to the hotel and also flexible with check-in. When we arrived she recommended a great family owned restaurant at a wineyard close 15 min car drive from the guesthouse. She also had a friend that could drive us there so we could enjoy wine there. So happy she recommended that one - it was amazing food and atmosphere! The hotel has a beautiful view, great location to get to the bazaar. The breakfast was amazing and just all in all a great visit! Room was big and with a balcony also showing the stunning view.

Amazing place to stay! Definitely recommend. It is a walk to the old town, but it's much easier to park here than in the bustle of the busy old town. The rooms are super clean, different bfast everyday. The family is wonderful and the view from the balcony is amazing.
