The hosts of this guest house are the most lovely people and quickly became friends. Ennie & Sokol are so warm, inviting and kind. Our family of five stayed in the ground floor guest house (there is another, larger suite above). They provided an extra mattress for our third daughter. The suite was clean, cute and suited us well. We loved the walk-out to the pool and the views in the area are stunning - with mountains, Lake Koman, cows, goats, roosters and turkeys. We chose this guest house due to its proximity to the boat launch to Shala River and we are so grateful to have met the beautiful hosts! They welcomed us so warmly and made our short stay so memorable. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast cooked by Ennie with homemade wine from their own grapes. Ennie arranged our transport to the launch to catch our boat to Shala River. Included in the fee was the drive in the shared minivan (8 minute dive) and the boat trip itself to Shala River (1 hour 15 mins). This was so convenient and easy for us and I highly recommend asking Ennie about this if you are planning a trip to Shala River. It is a stunningly beautiful trip that allows you to spend 3 - 4 hours at the Shala Riverside before you return.

Whilst the elderly couple don’t speak English, we managed to communicate somehow and they were just very welcoming and sweet. Got us grapes from their garden when we arrived and were just really nice. The room was very spacious and the bed very comfy. Shower and everything worked fine. The accommodation is just a very short drive to the ferry to Komani lake, so perfectly suited if you want to catch an early ferry.

The host was exceptionally willing to help, he gave us a tip for place to eat in town, even contacted his friend when we needed to buy a lightbulb for our motorbike. Delicious breakfast (everything was homemade/homegrown as far as we could tell). Calm location but still only a few (less than 10) minutes walk to the centre of Puke. Wifi worked perfectly. The host spoke good english.

Sebastian and the Zgiboza family were amazing. Great location away from the louder area of the river. Really nice rooms which have just been finished. What stuck out was that there was some miss communication regarding departure times for boats back to Koman. Instead of us having to wait for the afternoon boat the family managed to hustle and find us a boat to get on for no extra cost. They didn’t have to but it was really outstanding that they did. 10/10 Customer service!!
