View from may balcony was amazing. Host were great. The house is in the last of the beautiful valley of lauterbrunnen, great if you are having car. Murren, gimmelwald, shilthorn were very close. From murren dont miss the view for jungfro, Eiger and monk mt.

The location was incredible! The view was amazing, We spent whatever time we were in the room on the balcony. It was very clean. Breakfast was good. It was very near Interlaken and Giessbach. Staff was super friendly. Loved it there.

Esther was an exceptional host. I was worried about the location, but it was so easy to get there. I highly recommend it. Fab breakfast on the balcony with an amazing view. She packed a lunch for us as we were going to miss breakfast. The room was so clean, and the facilities were excellent that included access to a fridge,snacks, tea & coffee 24 hrs. Esther kept hold of our bags on our last day and was just so accommodating at all times. She was very trustworthy & so helpful, we will be back. It's set in a beautiful location where you can see the valley on top of the hill. It is quite secluded but there is a restaurant on site if you're feeling hungry. Staff were great and friendly, and the room itself (I booked a single) was lovely. The bed was so comfy I practically knocked out when I arrived.

The family-run Hotel Des Alpes is located next to the Muggeseeli nature reserve in the centre of Kandersteg. All rooms have been renovated in 2010 and Wi-Fi is available for free.
