To say that we both loved this place wouldn't do it justice! Because we adored it! The apartment is beautifully and tastefully decorated and sitting on the terrace while sipping one of the delicious juices prepared on the spot makes you feel part of a tropical forest. The activities that you can do around Eito abound. Anyway, if you simply choose to stay inside and relax, you've got what you need - Hannelore has thought of everything, from the small details to the big suggestions and recommendations that make a difference. By the way, this is the right place to be for all vegan travellers (and not only them), as the food is delicious! I've had my favourite cachupa of the entire trip around Cabo Verde here! Thank you for making our stay on Santo Antão so special!

It is a great place to stay! It is in walking distance of Paul and it is so beautiful!! Very easy to take one of the busses to the start of the route of the vulcano! Deffinetly recommend!

We stayed at The Retreat in December and had a fantastic time. The Irish owner (we can’t remember his name) was really welcoming and did his best to make every guest feel at home. You can tell that he truly loves the island, his job and has a passion for hospitality. The meals in the evening were tasty and copious. Nothing was too much in terms of dietary requirements. Dinners were shared as a group which was really handy to get to know people and share experiences and best treks. On the last morning we were going back to the harbour and he gave us a lift. Thank you for a lovely time, we hope to be back at the Retreat soon as it was our favourite place on this beautiful island.

Casa BB&Djassi felt like home - with big thanks to the ladies who take amazing care of the house and their guests, Talyna, Djenny and Ana. The rooms are comfortable, the location great and it was just a happy place to be. I’m not the only one who extended my stay while there! Communication was also excellent - with the team accommodating my request for good internet in my room, as well as providing multiple options to work across the house. I’ll definitely be back. My second stay. Love the house. Very comfortable and authentic. This time with concert included. The host Arlindo with his band Cordas do Sol were playing on the main street at a local event. Spectacular and fully recommended!

The guesthouse is conveniently located on the outskirts of village Eito and is a great starting point for many hikes in Santo Antao. The rooms are comfortable and clean, there is lots of greenery and fresh fruit - the breakfast was great! The owner and the housekeeper are both very nice and friendly. (There are also two little dogs living there who are super cute!)
