Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.

This pension was perfect for us. It has a locked garage for parking our bicycles overnight, a shared kitchen where we made pasta for supper and boiled water for tea. The kitchen is well equipped including a toaster, stove, fridge, microwave and all the dishes, utensils and pots and pans needed.

The owner was very welcoming and friendly and was helpful. The location is convenient. The room has a kettle, microwave and fridge
It's basically hostel standard and as such provides good value for a budget stay.
