I used this accommodation during a hike through Saxon Switzerland. It is located in a picturesque village. The gentleman welcomed me very kindly and explained everything. The room was very cozy and the kitchen was available. In the morning we met for breakfast together. I recommend it for a sleepover.

central to the town great for coming from the Malerweg trail. I had a great experience start to finish. Robin, the owner is amazing and I couldn’t of asked for more, fun to chat to, and great for myself as an English speaker, struggling with the German language. very few other places here speak good English. Bedroom- beds were very comfy, great view of the mountains from my window. each bedroom has 2 single beds available and all rooms come with a key so you can explore the town easily. bathroom- There is a bath + shower in this hotel, in a shared bathroom which is great for all needing to relax after lots of steps down to Schmilka from Malerweg kitchen / breakfast- The kitchen is available to use on the evening for making your own food and socialising with other guests. In the morning, breakfast is set up beautifully on the table for all guests to sit around between 8am and 10am. The breakfast food was amazing lots of options available. Schmilka is a self reliant town as much as possible and make their own produce. it is a very different and fun experience! Enjoy!

The hotel has its own parking lot and restaurant (for our stay it’s open until 19:30). The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They made a customized spaghetti for my child. The building (and our window) is very beautiful with green vines. There is a interesting collection of books ( world highlights, information technology, Olympic Games in 1964, children books) and board games.
