We had an unfortunate travel experience, but our stay at this pension near the airport completely turned it around. The owner welcomed us warmly, provided a spotless and well-equipped room, and even gave us a ride to the airport the next day. The neighbourhood is really nice, lots of friendly families and easy access to bus and Subway lines. It is quite far from the city center (1 hour by public transport), but, this is Berlin, so everything is quite far away anyways. The check-in is contactless but the staff were very friendly and guided me through the phone. It is great value for the price. You stay in a closed room in the house and share the bathroom and a kitchen. I would recommend this for solo travellers like me or young couples who are looking for something warm and comfortable, not luxurious, just for sleeping.
