The location cannot be beat; mountains on all sides. The dining room is upscale rustic, very charming. Staff very friendly and helpful, food fresh and interesting. The most comfortable comforter on the bed that I've ever had. Loved that our room for 4 had a door for privacy for adults. Shower also great. We hiked Wallberg (bring spikes in winter), and did some sledding (we borrowed their wooden sleds). The whole weekend was cloudy at the lake but not where we were: above the clouds in the sunshine! Staff brought a nice cake for birthday, a surprise.

Stellar breakfast really beautifully displayed - very many options, eggs cooked to order, coffee as you wish. Very friendly staff offering tips for how to spend the day. Every single item in the hotel seemed to be curated with care - too many details to list - but I noticed! Really lovely touches everywhere you look. Regional décor in typical Bavarian/Alpine style but not at all outdated or drab. Fabulous pool and infrared and steam saunas. Plenty of parking directly in front of the hotel. Easy and safe walk to the lake.

Loved it here. Beautiful property, location excellent - just a short walk from Rottach-Egern and hiking trails. Also easy to walk to Tegernsee - no more than 30 minutes to get to the famous Tegernseer Bräustüberl. There's a bus route as well, we got the impression it's very easy to get around. Our room was nicely furnished, very clean and cosy. Having a little balcony to sit on in the evening was a great extra. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast (continental) very tasty. We'd definitely stay again.

Comfy clean accommodation in a beautiful place with friendly staff who accommodated my late arrival. They got in non-dairy milk especially for me at breakfast!

Very nice, spacious, clean and fully equipped apartment, the bed was very comfortable as well. I stayed there just one night during my bike packing trip. It was not a problem to park my bike in a garage. Breakfast was very good as well. Even only one night stay was very pleasant.
