Absolutely everything was great. The staff is super nice and very helpful. My room was clean, comfortable, spacious, just perfect. Everything fantastic.

The room was modern and comfortable, even though the surroundings are quite rural. The house features a great rooftop with a lovely atmosphere, and the owner is absolutely fantastic! JJ went the extra mile to make our stay wonderful - always friendly, helpful and attentive. He also offers affordable Nile trips and transfers to Abu Simbel, which we highly recommend. The accommodation is conveniently located near the public ferry, which runs frequently and costs only 10 EGP per person. JJ welcomes you with tasty lemon-mint drink and offers the tea when he sees you :)

The staff were very kind and nice, and the view from the balcony was amazing. The accomodation started with boat and endded with boat, from and to the west bank of Aswan. Just wanted to thank them for the unforgettable memories in elephantine island.

One minute from the ferry port, easy walking around the island and great views over the nile and city.

: Very close to public ferries to Aswan. Rooms were functional, on the livelier side of Elephantine islands. Great views on the balcony for breakfast. Most importantly, staff were amazing, helpful and welcoming. They provided advice on how to get to main sites in Aswan, helped us secure good prices and booked day trip to Abu Simbel. Highly recommend this place and will definitely return! Ahmed the owner, along with his staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They arranged a car from the airport, and the driver was in touch with me well in advance of my arrival. Despite my late arrival, Ahmed prepared a delicious homemade dinner at a very reasonable price. She also organized a felucca ride on short notice, again at a fair rate. During our conversations, I shared some stories about my family who couldn’t join me on the trip. In a beautiful and thoughtful gesture, Ahmed gave a small gift for my wife and kids — a touching example of Nubian hospitality and culture that really stayed with me. On my first day, her son kindly accompanied me on the ferry to help me get familiar with the area — another thoughtful gesture I really appreciated. Every request I had was taken care of promptly and with genuine care. Do note that the place is located on an island, so you'll need to take a ferry to get in and out. The service is frequent, but it’s something to be aware of when planning. Overall, an exceptional stay with an incredibly kind and generous host family. : They arrange for me all tours around Aswan and Luxor with very reasonable prices I will come back sure

My wife and I stayed two nights in this beautiful hotel and wished we would have stayed longer. The hotel owner (Tamer) and his nephew (Mo) made us feel at home, helping us organising trips at very fair prices and preparing delicious breakfast and dinner every day. The hotel is located in a Nubian village, on the West Bank of the Nile. You can get there very easily for 10 EGP per person with the public ferry. The atmosphere in the hotel and the village is very relaxed, which we absolutely loved after coming from very busy cities like Cairo and Alexandria. One of our highlights was the morning run + swim in the Nile that we did with Mo, who showed us the best spots in the village and in Aswan. We will definitely come back to visit these guys who became our family for some days

If you are planning a trip to Aswan, Elephantine Island on the Nile , La Terrace Aswan is the guest house you NEED to stay at. The house is so lovely and spotlessly clean. The view of Aswan Corniche from the wonderful terrace are fabulous day and night. Now on to Mohammed, the proprietor. The nicest, kindest, most genuine man you’ll meet. He looked after us like we were family. We flew into Aswan from Cairo but when we arrived in Cairo our luggage wasn’t. We messaged Mohammed just to let him know what happened and even though at this stage we still hadn’t met he took ownership of the issue and just ran with it. He had a car meet us at the airport which took us straight to a pharmacy to buy toiletries before taking us to the guest house. The following morning after making sure we had some breakfast he guided us to a shopping centre where we could purchase replacement clothing. In addition to all this Mohammed looked after all our bookings for tours and trips. He well and truly saved our holiday. The beds in the room were so comfortable and it was so quiet and peaceful. The hotel staff is very helpful with organising any tours, for very reasonable prices. Nice view from balcony. Very good breakfast. Quiet at night.
