He is genuinely one of the kindest and most generous people we've ever met. From the moment we booked, Mamuka treated us like family. He went above and beyond in every way—allowing us to wash our car and even doing our laundry, all free of charge. When we offered to pay, he simply smiled and said it wasn’t necessary. The family welcomed us very dearly, also helped with the taxi to getting into Ushguli and outside. The dinners are so so so good (especially home made yoghurt, home made cheese and khachapuri). We felt very welcomed and safe. Nothing problematic, everything can be arranged. Also very good location to leave to the hiking trail above Ushguli and it is really not far away from the center of Ushguli. Babi's English is perfect, so the communication is great (she is an excellent hostess). This is a very good option for a very good price. I really recommend staying here! :)

I had a lovely stay at Nora's Guesthouse. Located at the top of Ushguli, you can look onto the Greater Caucasus mountains from the front doorstep on clear mornings, with the monastery in the foreground. The breakfast was fantastic and the best value of all the guest houses I stayed in. It is a true working farm, so the eggs come from the chickens and the cheese from the cows that get milked each evening when they bring themselves home from the mountain pastures. The big black guard dog is super friendly and they have a horse you can rent to take you to the glacier.

The atmosphere was very relaxed and the family extremely friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were BY FAR THE BEST we had on our 4-day hike. They arranged reasonably priced horse riding to the glacier and a car back to Mestia. Comes highly recommended! 🥰

Clean, comfortable room with private bathroom in a great location in Ushguli. It was only 110 metres from the marshrutka drop-off, and it's also just a short walk away from Lamaria Church. It must also be one of the closest in town to the start of the Shhkara Glacier trail. We were satisfied with the breakfast. Miranda and family were also helpful when we asked for information - we booked a ride halfway to the Shhkara Glacier with them. Thank you.
