This place is everything that a 5-star hotel strives to be but could never be. Because no hotel could ever provide the level of personal service I received at Gilded Palms. I’ve stayed in hundreds of places throughout the world and Gilded Palms is WITHOUT A DOUBT the best stay I’ve ever had!!! I was picked up at the airport by their charming driver, Ali, and driven to Gilded Palms where they were waiting for me with a hot cappuccino and German chocolate cake! How amazing is that?! From the first moment I arrived, it was like I was with “family” . . . quite literally. They were so warm and welcoming that I spent 2 hours talking with the host and the other guests before I even made it to my room!!! The place is GORGEOUS and SO CLEAN, the pool and small gym are fantastic, the food is amazing, and the tours are out-of-this-world. But what really makes this place one-in-a-million is the SERVICE. I made no plans in advance of my Bali visit and they took care of absolutely everything!!! Their secret weapon is their host, Yandi. He treated me like a brother from the moment we met. He made amazing breakfasts (waffles, pancakes, french toast, omelettes, eggs benedict, you name it), he took me and the other guests out on morning walks and to a local temple ceremony, and at my request he even took me out two evenings to Ubud – nothing was too much to ask!!! Thank you for everything, Yandi, Ali and Dono. You’re like a second family to me now – my “brothers from another mother.” I’ll be back soon, and again and again.

What an absolutely paradise. This place is fresh, newly built and amongst a beautiful garden oasis looking out to rolling garden hills and coconut palm trees. Opening the sliding doors in the morning to an incredible sunrise was a highlight, the king bed is comfortable and the room is very spacious with amazing aircon. If you’re looking for a natural cabin feel with a tranquil vibe then I highly recommend this place! Only 30 mins away from Ubud, I am so so so happy I booked this place to come back to and relax after being in bustling tourist areas all day. The owners are incredibly lovely, friendly and highly accomodating and have hearts of gold. Komang was available to drive me anywhere and offered full day tour transport with recommended tourist attractions. Speaks English very well and made my experience feel very safe, secure and looked out for as a solo female traveler. Thank you so much Komang and Kardek for having me in your paradise wooden house, you are great hosts and I will be recommending this place to everyone I know! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place to stay away from the buzz of the center of ubud but close enough to go with the bike. Tulus was very helpful and you can rent a bike on the spot which was very convenient. I got a mild flu and it was a good place to stay and recover.
