Workers were very lovely. All areas were very tidy. You can use a local bath for free, which is 1 min walk from hostel. It is about 15min walk from train station.

The couple that runs the place are the nicest and so helpful even though we can't speak Japanese. Place is so clean and comfy, kitchen was fully equipped for all our daily meals. Love the plants and decor around the main floor.

The ladies looking after the guesthouse are wonderful. From the welcoming tea and biscuit when we checked in, to booking a taxi when we left. Nothing was too much trouble.

The property has 4 rooms (only one has Japanese beds). It was really clean and had more than enough space. And the onsen was really nice and could be locked (just like a bathroom). The washing machine was also very good. When we arrived there was nobody around, so we sent a message via Booking and 10 minutes later our host appeared. She was so nice and offered us green tee with Japanese sweets during the afternoon. She also prepared a fresh breakfast (we appeared one morning at 10.20 and she had prepared a small soupe and sandwiches- so thoughtful!). We can only fully recommend the guesthouse.

Another big plus was that Jin-san offered to drop us off at the starting point for our early-morning Mount Yufu trek. This thoughtful gesture saved us from the hassle of arranging transport and let us start our day off on the right foot. The scenery around the guest house is breathtaking, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. And of course, we can’t forget Momo-chan, the charming resident cat, who added an extra touch of warmth to our stay. For anyone seeking a homey, relaxing experience with incredible hospitality in Yufuin, this guest house is a perfect choice.
