Warm welcome by the host who gave a little tour of the hostel. Nice common area, clean facilities and free breakfast/snacks. They make you feel very welcome, as a female solo traveller I felt instantly at ease after a long travel day.

Felt very welcome and comfortable. Hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were fed. Cheap bike rental was a fantastic way to get around the town. Cute house with lots of sweet notes around making the experience lovely.

Really couldn't ask for more from a hostel; clean, super comfy (the Kotatsu was amazing!), and amazingly helpful and kind staff. I loved how the house was older, felt super quaint and was really nicely decorated. I took the free bikes out for a ride around Lake Kawaguchiko, which I would highly recommend! Thank you Daichi for making me feel so welcome and helping me out when I had trouble with my transportation. If you're lucky enough to stay here you won't regret it!

First, about the owners: my rental broke down just as I reached the property. They helped me by calling the rental company, then the insurance company, then the tow truck company. I don't speak a word of Japanese and I couldn't get this done without them. That lead me to trying to find a way back. They spent 7 to 8 hours helping me find my route! It's a complicated route that I had (going to kyoto) and they walked me through all of it. They are savvy, know bus routes, and will lend you a hand if need be. Now the property: amazing!! Next to the lake, plenty of parking, clean throughout, cloae to moint fuji. Heated floors were amazing (especially in winte)r. Common areas are functional, and they provide everything you need to make it feel like home. They showed us how to prepare our market bought meals (market is just around the corner). The house is absolutely beautiful. Chances are, you will meet like minded, mature travellers like we did. This was not a frat house. Guests were mature, from all around the world, and I had a great time conversating with the few small groups I came across. The hosts stayed up with us, we all had drinks in the common area, and had good conversation. 10 out of 10, I would recommend it again. I don't usually write lengthy reviews but this review is easily, we'll deserved.

The front desk stuff was very friendly and helped us to put luggage into our room. He reminded us that it might rain when we were going out in the afternoon and we borrowed two umbrellas for free. The room 203 has a view of the mountain Fuji from the window. There is a normal light smell of Tatami in the room. There is also a large and clean common space with all kitchen equipments. Highly recommended!

Coolest place to stay for fuji. Whole house, comfiest beds, and a short 30 second walk can get you a great view of Fuji. The owner was extremely accommodating and will sort any problems you may have.

Kawaguchiko Station Inn is a 1-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Train Station and a 7-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Lake in the Mount Fuji area.
