The room was large. We have an authentic taste of living in a traditional Japanese home, albeit a very large room. The whole two-storey unit was left all to ourselves after the restaurant below has closed. The host was very kind to have allowed us the use of many of the facilities in the unit, as I believe we were staying for more than 2 nights. There was very thoughtful provision of water and many little packets of tea and snacks as part of the package. All essential facilities (e.g. bathroom, shower, washing machine, dryer) worked well and good.

We rested here before our trip to mount Fuji the next day, the hosts were extremely helpful and they also gave a delightful explanation for the symbolism and the history of the place. If you're looking for tradition and a delight host that goes further and beyond for you, this place is the right choice. Would definitely visit again

The room was very clean and the heating/cooling system was very effective. Bathroom was shared and kept very clean. Bike rentals were very convenient and they served an amazing breakfast at the next door restaurant.

The original bedding (floor mattress) were really comfortable!!!! A lot of space in the apartment, nice and quiet neighbourhood.
