The rooms are nice and clean. The owner was very kind. The location worked great for me as I preferred a place further away from the crowds but easily connected to Kyoto.

The son and mother running the guesthouse were wonderful. It's a beautiful location, and because it is fairly far from the station, the son picked us up in his van at the station. We did have to call him to get us (which we knew ahead of time), so it's important to have the capability to do so or otherwise arrange it with the guesthouse host. We thoroughly enjoyed the onsen at the hotel with included yukatas and our very spacious room (had a heater/AC as well!). The sheets and yukatas and towels were impeccably clean and pressed. The son and mother had a lovely cafe with free beverages downstairs, and they also had a wonderful breakfast we paid for in the morning. I feel this guesthouse is truly a hidden gem and highly recommend it to anyone considering it. Easily one of the best places I have stayed at in Japan. My husband and I were so charmed during the whole experience.

The owner was extremely friendly and adaptable to my situation, she was very kind and even let me keep my bags at the property ling after checkout time so that I could explore more of kyoto. The beds are comfortable as well as the toilet and shower facilities.

It is near to Hira Station. The host is very friendly. The place is clean and with a shared kitchen. The view of Lake Biwa from my room is superb.

Hosts are amazing welcoming people. Felt at home!. Guesthouse is in a residential area, very quiet and nice, but very close to many touristic places and close to the bus stop that takes to Kyoto Station (line 206). Our room was duplex style: very cute and the bed was extremely comfortable. Free breakfast was also a big plus!! 😋

Excellent hotel. I loved everything. The room was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. The staff was helpful. The location was superb. I recommend it.

great location! About 5 minutes walk to tsujiki market, train station and bus stops. Walking distance from several famous shrines and temples, and a lot of local eateries within walking distance as well. Great beer just down the road too. Host is extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive even late at night. Was extremely lucky to get a room here during peak season considering they have a total of only four rooms. Rooms here are also more spacious than many hotels I've stayed at in kyoto and Japan in general. Will definitely come back!

Very friendly host! I have been welcomed with a cup of tea and a cooky.They gave me very helpful information and even drove me to the railway station. I regret that I couldn't stay longer. Next time for sure!
