Defenitely one of the best places we have been to during our travels. The host is great :-) many thanks Octavio for the warm welcome, you made us feel at home - cosy, warm rooms, welcoming with nice special treats, very clean, close to beautiful temples in a nice, quite residential area. Stunning mountain area. The onsen was incredible! You are really surrounded by forest. The meals we had were the best food we ate in the country. Real home cooking perfection. The onsen was a delight even in summer.

Everything. Especially our hosts, the loveliest giggly couple who absolutely went out of their way to make us happy. Our room was compact but very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, especially the salad. An easy walk to Everything the town has to offer. Hida folk village is well worth a visit.

Lovely decorated, traditional style stay. We had a huge room for 2 adults and enough space for our baby to play on the tatami mats. Walking distance to everything (takayama is rather small after all).
