Very quiet and cozy place with a beautiful garden full of birds and monkeys. The rooms are clean, spacious, have everything you need - air conditioning, fan, mosquito net. There is not warm water, but during the day the sun heats it up in the tank and it is getting even hot, very nice. There is a large balcony with tables and a beautiful view, it is very pleasant to sit there and watch the surroundings and sunsets. There is a bird watching tower next to the house, from where you can see the national park. We were spending hours there with our spyglass. Very hospitable hotel owner, he helped us with everything and organized a wonderful safari to Bundala national park. Breakfasts and dinners are delicious and plentiful and for a very good price. Not far from the hotel there are lakes with a lot of water birds. The place is a birdwatching paradise. We had the great pleasure of spending 4 days here enjoying and relaxing.

We had a fantastic stay. We arrived and were warmly welcomed. Our room was ready and it looked great. We had a room with sea view. We were immediately offered a beer on arrival and in the evening the host prepared fresh fish, shrimps, chips and rice for us. One of the best dishes we've had in Sri Lanka. The accommodation is located directly at sea, so you have a lot of peace here. The host is very helpful and will make your stay comfortable.

Lovely, accommodating family. Looked after us well. Host took us on an informal safari trip to see animals truly in the wild and history of local boulders. Great pool. Excellent food. Beautiful unspoilt beach but not for swimming.

The staff at the place is super helpful. the service is just outstanding. I traveled some cities during the stay in Sri Lanka but they have the best hospitality for sure. they helped us with the transportation and ideas of things to do. We stayed at Blue Birds Tissa for one night to do the morning safari at Yala National Park. Priya organized our pick-up from Ella and welcomed us with a fresh coconut drink. We also had lunch and dinner at the home stay which were freshly made and really delicious. The room was clean and providing everything you need. The location is close to a lake where Priya took us on a free bird’s safari in the afternoon. He also organized the safari to Yala NP and the transport to our next location. Priya and his family are going above and beyond to give their guests the best stay possible to a reasonable price. Thanks again for our great stay!

The location within green rice fields is stunning. The food was tasty and the staff was always very welcoming and helpful. It was awesome that the food (breakfast and dinner) was served outside. In general I would recommend this place to anyone.
