Lovely, accommodating family. Looked after us well. Host took us on an informal safari trip to see animals truly in the wild and history of local boulders. Great pool. Excellent food. Beautiful unspoilt beach but not for swimming.

The place is very clean. We loved the location and authentic vibe. We booked a Safari with the owner and it was a fantastic experience. Our 2 little boys also enjoyed the stay. Shehan is an amazing host and a great cooker. All the food was really good, and he was always kind and helpfull, making our days super sweet. Anything you need, he will help you for sure. He also does safaris and has a SPA to relax. The villa has everything you will need and the bed is confy. You are close to the beach and have a natural pool close by. It's a really nice local place to stay and chill. We enjoyed a lot and remmend 100%. Looking forward to come back again some day.

the room is very nice. Big and clean, good Wi-Fi friendly staff, sometimes too friendly :) if you want to have dinner or lunch, plan it in advance since cooking takes around 1h-1,5h I think it would be good to add eggs for breakfast

Nice & spacious property with amazing outdoors seating areas with great views in a great location. The room was great & had an en-suite. The food was also amazing and we ate here both nights! We had already booked a safari in yala before we booked the accommodation, but we would have done it with the guesthouse had we not booked in advance. They also helped us to try & start our Tuktuk when it wouldn’t start & when it wouldn’t start they went to collect a mechanic and brought him to us. Super helpful & kind hosts!

The owner was a very helpful and proactive person from the beginning. He arranged an airport pickup for us even though we were not staying at his place the first day. He helped us with transportation on three separate days. The safari that he organised was exceptional. We saw all the animals in the national park including elephants, leopards, monkeys, crocodiles and many more. Our driver Thilak was very friendly. He had razor sharp eyes spotting even the most hidden animals. The lunch and dinner that we had, were absolutely delicious.

This is a wonderful place to stay; fantastic if you are on a budget and understand the facilities are basic. There is electricity, warm water and a comfortable bed...in a fabulous location with fabulous hosts. You will see an array of wildlife (porcupine, bats, crocs, elephants and exotic birds). Danoushka and Anousha were warm, welcoming and kind. We loved our stay here and felt part of nature. Anousha cooks delicious Sri Lankan food and Danoushka is knowledgeable about the local area; We went on a tuk tuk drive with him to see various temples and sites of historic importance - a highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka. My husband also did an early morning bird spotting safari on the back of a motor bike which enabled him to take some close shots of the abundant bird life. Jungle cabin gave us the experience of "real" Sri Lanka and, as a middle aged couple, it was an absolute pleasure to spend time with the hosts and enjoy their home. We would not hesitate to recommend this as a rustic place to stay...make the most of Danoushka's local and wildlife knowledge and...enjoy the tranquility.

perfect place to stay to visit Yala national park ! totally recommend! the host is friendly, kind and super available. the room was quiet and clean. we sleept really well. the host prepared for us also a great typical srilankan breakfast !

If you're looking for an authentic experience, this is the place to be! Located in the middle of the paddy field, you'll get a welcomed resort from traffic noise and urban pulse. The host will truly take care of you, and he cooks the most delicious meals! He will probably take you on a walk on the fields, looking for crocodiles, and chatting with local farmers. This gives so much more value than ordinary accommodations.
