we absolutely loved our stay at Villa Sarakkuwa. I think this might be the best place to stay a few nights after arriving or before leaving Sri Lanka. It is very close to the airport. They even helped us arrange a transport for very cheap. We had a very early flight and didnt want to risk that no Pickme would be close by. The Villa and the garden are beautiful and decorated with so much care and love for the detail. As they only have a few rooms it feels like a private stay in a deluxe house. We have stayed here at the end of our trip and this was the first accommodation where there was so much detail and love put into the design and functionality. The pool was amazing and so was the breakfast. It was a mixture of Sri Lankan and western food. We had a few places where we were disappointed by the breakfast options when only western food was offered but here we got a great mix of foods and were very happy.

A great hotel run by a lovely family. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, and the location is very convenient—just a short walk from the train station and close to the airport (about a 10 minute drive). A delicious breakfast was provided, and the couple even kindly gave me a mango from the tree in front of their home. I would highly recommend this place. i used this homestay for one day for the Airport transit stay and it is very close to Colombo International Airport. Room was very clean. The room has a AC and TV, Attached newly done bathroom. The room size very big. The owner is a very nice person. They cooked very nice and tasty dinner for me. Breakfast was very nice included in the price. This is a perfect stay for a couple days. Owner is offering a free transport to Airport either pick up or drop off.
