I am so glad we chose to stay here - the host family are such genuine, warm, helpful and happy people. We didn’t get off at the right bus stop (Debarwewa) and they very kindly arranged for us to be picked up from the Tissa bus stop. Our room was wonderful - comfy beds and pillows, lovely bathroom - everything was new and spotless. There was plenty of room for us and our three teenage sons. There was a couch and coffee table where we could play cards. Susu and Jami cooked us wonderful dinners - the curries were amazing. They organised our safari and Susu woke us up with coffee at 4.15am ready for the safari. Our safari driver - Kassu - was friendly and a great driver. We saw a leopard as well as many other animals. The owners even stood out on the road with us when we left as we wanted to catch a bus - they waved it down and helped us with our bags. Nothing was too much trouble - they let us use the bicycles and we went for a fun ride into town. I would stay again in a heartbeat - my favourite place in Sri Lanka so far!

My room was clean and spacious. But the best part of my stay was definitely the owner - funny and genuine. He took the time to show me the wildlife of his town and shared his love for birds with me. Definitely a highlight of my Sri Lanka experience.

Wonderful, quiet, cozy apartament surrounded by rice fiedle. It is small familliar hotel with large rooms. Swimming pool is big, and clean, and next to room. Very tasty breakfast. During the whole stay our hoste prepared the best tea witht milk for our children. Wery nice atmosphere.

The family couldn't have done enough for us; it was a pleasure to stay here. The view Fe the cabana was beautiful and such a great place to enjoy watching the birds. I recommend seeing the sunrise. We stayed one additional night and would have stayed longer if we had the time. Thank you for a lovely stay. We went for a safari at Yala and everything was organized by our hosts: pick up, tour and guide.

The site is a 10 and the room is also excellent. Often in hotels they are annoying and insistent so that you hire excursions, transportation, etc. with them, but this has not been the case. I saw the rice harvesting process.

It is a modest but wonderful accommodation close to Yala National Park. The accommodation is run by a very nice family. Everyone is still smiling and offering sweet tea. Here you feel more like a welcome member of the family than just a guest. The room has everything you need. There is a comfortable bed a fan and a clean bathroom. There is a wonderful quiet sitting area outside with a view of the rice field. Here you can watch the birds feeding. What more could a traveler ask for? At the end of my stay they went with me to the main street and made sure I got on the right bus. Thanks for that! It was great at your place! Thank you for your hospitality and for the perfect chat in the morning with the view from your garden! I really appreciate it. It was great! My husband and I stayed here for two nights. Initially we booked this stay to do the Yala Safari, but because we already saw all the animals in other parcs, we asked his advice what to do. He gave us a few options, all with a good price. We did a tuk tuk tour to "the elephant road" & Katharagama Temple complex The stay itself is very cosy, hygienic, breath taking views & quiet environment. Breakfast itself is worth going there as well as the evening meals. His wife and he cook delicious meals!

5 star facilities hotel at reasonable price. Enjoyed the stay. Staff is very hospitable. Anyone who plans to visit Yala National Park must stay here. Quite an experience!

Wow - what a place! We felt like home. The tree house is super cozy and fairly new, the views out to the rice fields is amazing, you can see lots of peacocks and flying bats at sunset too. The owner and family is super friendly and sweet, their daughters and dog Bruno too. The treehouse is in the garden of the family but you have your privacy and they have theirs. They cooked dinner for us and it was the best meal we‘ve had so far. So delicious! They organized a morning safari for us (the owner is a safari driver and his brother too) and welcomed us with a fresh coconut from their garden when we returned. It‘s nice to go for a walk in the neighborhood. There is one street dog who waits by the entrance and/or plays with Bruno. He‘s super cute (but shy and keeps distance to people) and we fed him plain cookies. He loved it.
