Our stay was exceptional and we were so sad to leave the Riad after a sunny afternoon spent on the roof terrace. The photos don’t do this place justice. The service could not have been any better - all the staff were extremely hospitable and made a fantastic breakfast every morning. Everything from the yoghurt to the cakes, pancakes and egg tagine prepared in their lovely kitchen. The rooms were lovely and we were able to have our clothes washed after a week spent travelling around morocco. The location inside the Medina is ideal, just 5 minutes from the bus station on foot. We did horse riding and surfing and the tours collected us right outside the Medina which was very convenient. Finally, it was very close to what turned out of be our favourite little fish restaurant, le vague bleue, which was also convenient! Thank you Dar Awil, we hope to come back again! In the meantime, we will recommend this lovely spot to anyone we know travelling to beautiful Essaouira!

Arrived here from Marrakesh... the long-way... with some 5 hours in the saddle. Bit of a bugger to find from the road using Google Maps initially... but easy when you know how... and look for the signs! However the hospitality was overwhelming with a "bikers beverage of choice" and a quick brief of the Riad and room facilities... Jamal and Kati made me feel very welcome indeed. Great accommodation and very secure parking for many bikes. The room was excellent with great en-suite facilities. The shower was hot and powerful... great for my aches and pains! The bed was big and comfortable. Although they didn't offer dinner the french restaurant they recommended was tres magnifique... and only 400m from the accommodation. The sunset "beverage" on the terrace was idyllic... no noise... just birdsong! I slept like the dead and woke to a magnificent breakfast on the patio overlooking the pool... I did not want to leave! Again I would stay here every time I come to the west coast of Morocco... and despite not being in Essaouira... its in Ghazoua... about 8km outside... its worth it for the peace and tranquility... and that restaurant up the road! I really didn't want to leave... but Casablanca was calling! But to any travellers... especially bikers... for me, it doesn't get any better than this for a weary traveller to rest! to Jamal and Kati... Thank you... Shkran... Tanmirt... Merçi... Je suis Mouchè... ton ami!

The Riad Dar Adul is gorgeous! We stayed in Morocco for 8 days and this one was our favourite! The rooms were spacious, the Riad was covered in beautiful and original art and the common spaces were so welcoming! We were a 12-people friend group and the Riad has rooms to accompany all of us in 4 people rooms and a suite and in double rooms! The staff was amazing, Mary the Riad’s owner is the best, everyone was the sweetest and they were very helpful when we needed to prolong our stay when two of our friends got sick and needed a day linger to recover. They offer amazing breakfast and great tips for around Essaouira, all in all they took really good care of us! We all would love to go back soon and strongly recommend it!
