Very friendly and helpful hosts. You have a hammock in your room or you can use those outside in the sitting area. Little fridge in the room You can chose between van and ac All is very lovely set up and its a great atmosphere Bit outside (10min walk) from the centre, therefore more quiet

Can't recommend this place enough. Mauricio and his sister are doing an amazing job in helping you with every need and the place itself is wonderful. Doesn't feel like staying in the center at all - except for the bar next door, but in the room we couldn't even hear it because even the AC is louder. Extra plus: even though there's actually no breakfast, every morning there's free tea, coffee, fruits and pastry. Would stay here again every single time

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Mapache Hostel. It’s a super cute Hostel, with restaurants, bars and the beach near by, but also quiet in the night to have a good sleep and a common area to meet other backpackers. We had the tipi, which was really comfy. The staff is always around, super helpful and nice. During our stay the island was due to heavy rainfalls pretty muddy, but the hostel was always super clean, although the showers are outside. We’d definitely recommended! :)
