The property is stunning and so well curated that you can see that care that has gone into it. Every fixture, fitting and decoration has been carefully selected. The location is absolutely perfect and you are on the door step of the entro area. The staff are also amazing and a HUGE thank you to Carlos who made me feel so welcome, he’s an absolute credit to Casa Carmen and in my experiences travelling around Mexico he truly is a memorable individual and refreshing to speak to. Everything. I felt so welcomed from the moment I made the booking. Esperanza has been so helpful and lovely. The place is stunning, very comfortable bed, great shared facilities and 25 minutes walking distance from the main bus station. Breakfast was delicious too. Sadly, I can only give 10. I wish I could rate more. If I'm back in San Cristóbal, here is where I'm going to go. A big "muchísimas gracias" a Esperanza and all the people working there.

the staff were SO friendly! anything you need they will assist. the breakfast is all ready and waiting for you as soon as you wake up, great facilities if you want to cook your own food. the bathrooms are kept really clean and same with the rooms. lovely place.

Wonderful place, I felt directly at home. In 10minutes walking distance you reach the center and there are many local food places around the corner. I loved that there was always clean drinking water in the shared kitchen and the room decoration was colourful and cute. I can highly recommend to stay here!

Ocho Barrios is a very nice, clean and cosy place to stay in San Cristobal. Situated very, very close to the city center with an amazing flair and great staff. The communication with the hosts was great and easy. They are very friendly and always open to help, e.g. booking tours, offering laundry service etc. The delicious local breakfast in the garden was highly appreciated every morning. We highly recommend the place to stay and the hosts. Thank you very much and all the best!
