The host, Matnor, a wise uncle, is super duper friendly and really enjoyed talking to him even we don't really get to talk much. The room is just comfortable and quite clean. The shower room is also clean and don't see much dirts. He also provided some perks which I will not further elaborating here.

The hosts Sam, Selda and Jane go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable! They are really open, helpful and knowledgeable about Kuching and Sarawak and help you explore the region on a budget. Marco Polo feels like our second home in Kuching! They have everything a traveler may need & more. Lovely buffet style breakfast, including müsli, fruit, toast, different spreads, eggs, coffee, tea and a daily changing extra. The rooms are well furnished and have king size beds. The kitchen is well equipped including a osmosis filter. The entire Guesthouse is beautifully and authentically decorated. Very good laundry service, plus they even fixed my pants. The location in the 'artsy' Pandungan neighbourhood is great. There is a small economical food court, just across the street just as many shops, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. It's only 10-15 min walking to the waterfront.

We had a wonderful stay at Seladah Homestay. The property consists of two combined houses, making it quite spacious with a total of eight rooms (two rooms downstairs and the rest upstairs). It features an RFID door lock system and an automatic gate with a remote, so there’s no need to use a traditional key. We arrived late at night, but self-check-in was convenient, allowing us to settle in without waiting for the owner. The homestay also offers high-speed Wi-Fi, estimated at around 500 Mbps. Since all guests live under the same roof, you’ll have the opportunity to meet your housemates. Our rooms, located upstairs, were designed for two people and came with private bathrooms, which was very convenient. The living room has TVs available for use, and a washing machine is beneath the staircase. The parking area accommodates about three cars inside the compound and two additional cars outside. The owner was also very responsive to my inquiries. Thank you very much for a great experience! I will definitely return for my next stay. :)

I stayed here for over 2 months and cannot express enough how perfect my stay has been. Zak thinks of everything before you even realise you need it yourself. Little things like making sure the light is turned on in the hall for when you arrive home or wake up early, or a roti on the table for you at breakfast. This place really felt like home. Zach was the kindest host - he stayed up for my late arrival and dropped me at the airport for my very early departure. After travelling around Malaysia for work, I was feeling knackered but Zach's home was an absolute home away from home, the perfect place to rest and relax. It was nice to stay in a kampung (village) and you are directly across the river from the main part of town with a fun (and cheap) water taxi to take across. Excellent wifi and comfy room with lots of space! Would be a great park up for a few weeks or so if you're a digital nomad! I will be back :D Thank you Zach!

Great homestay and awesome hosts Louise and Polycarp. We saw a probiscus monkey in the back yard! Apparently, other monkeys do show up as well. The pool was a nice treat. Our room was comfy and spacious. The view through the bathroom window was amazing. Grounds are lovely. Close for pick up for the river night cruise and our hosts dropped us off and picked us up at the Sarawak Cultural Village. Would totally recommend.
