We enjoyed our stay in Merdeka Guesthouse very much and actually extended it two times. The host is incredibly friendly and gave lots of helpful recommendations as well as a snack sometimes, the room nicely equipped and clean. Definitely recommend!

The Logde is located in a old Chinese house just in the Centre of Kuching in the main Bazar road on the waterfront. Very easy to reach a lot of places do the position and nearby many travel agency for organize tour around Kuching or in Sarawak like Niah Cave or Gunung Mulu National Park. The Lady at the reception give a lot of information where I can taste the real local food. Thanks once again

The host, Zak, is excellent. Very friendly, helpful, with a great heart. He provided me with all the information about where to go, what to do, and he also offered some tours in beautiful places like the Bengo Dam and the caves. The location is good, very close to the waterfront, which can be reached on foot and then by jetty (only 1 RM! Last ride: 6 pm - afterwards you either take a grab or walk about 30 min until the Darul Hana bridge). It's very safe and the people are incredibly friendly. I was stopped on the street by little children who greeted me and asked for my name! The rooms are comfortable, and the cats are lovely!
