I loved my stay at Solar Dos Frades! The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I was able to check in early and also chill at the pool past our checkout time. The breakfast was really nice too! We had fresh cake and orange juice and even scrambled eggs for our family every morning. A proper Alentejo stay. Very relaxing. There isn't lots to do in the town and some restaurants were closed but if you're after a relaxing family getaway then this is it! Will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful, quiet and clean. The rooms were cool with mini fridges for water or snacks and the doors has beautiful shutters to keep the light out. The owner was helpful and polite.

Nice, spacious terrace and room with a kitchen outside; the TV is also of a good size and high up on the wall; and the staff are really kind. We forgot a pair of glasses and the owner promptly mailed it to us and refused to charge us for it. Great experience! P.S.: if you like homemade food, a family and rustic place, check out restaurant Tapinha.

We were treated impeccably, with a warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was superb, plentiful and a variety beautifully presented and intuition about scrambled eggs for the English guest! The room was spacious, shower superb and welcome drinks in the mini-fridge,v welcome. The house itself is grand with interesting artwork. A large roof top terrace completes the experience.
