Breakfast was excellent, the staff spoke english and was very helpful with planning hiking trips in the national park. The tickets to the national park is included in the tourist tax. They also offer dinner at the penzion which was a treat at the end of the day.

Hrabusice is the best base for a visit to Slovensky Raj and exploring the Spis region. Some hiking trails (Hornad canyon, Sucha Bela) are walking distance from the village, for the rest you would need a car as public transport is limited outside summer holidays. Due to some mix up with the booking Peter (the host) arranged for us to stay in an apartment in another part of the village. It was an upgrade as we had a whole very comfy apartment with kitchen to ourselves. Communication with Peter was fast and reliable and the proposed solution more than satisfactory! Tip for visitors: since April 2024 local tourist tax (2 euros per person per night) allows free entry to paid sites in Slovensky Raj and includes insurance for mountain rescue costs.

Alica is such a lovely lady and host. She came in so we could check in early and also made us breakfast early the next day. So welcoming and friendly. The location was perfect to all the main attractions in town and the room was nice and spacious

Wonderful place to stay as a base for exploring Slovak Paradise. Our young children loved the in- and outdoor play areas and did not want to leave! Kitchen facilities are outstanding and rooms (beds and bathroom) comfortable. All in all highly recommended.

Absolutely high level and New accommodation situated close to the historic centre with an exceptional quality of surface used materials (hard wooden floors, cotton towels,, smart lights, fully equipmed kitchen corner, etc.). Owners and his wife very nice people and finally home made exceptional tradittional Slovak breakfast.

We were so happy to have stayed at this location in Hrabusice. It is only a few minutes walk from the first local bus stop in town. The host met us when we arrived by bus, and he was very kind and helpful. Our room - Standard Twin Room with Garden View - was clean and a fine size for the two of us with a large bathroom. There was also a stunning view of the mountains from our room. The kitchen was well stocked and good for cooking. There is a small grocery store just down the street, and an old bar and tasty ice cream stall is a brief walk away. This location is also perfect to reach the trailhead for Prielom Hornádu. Take a right directly from the house, and then continue only twenty minutes straight down the country road until you reach the ticket booth, then continue straight down the blue trail (not over the bridge). We hiked to the town of Smižany so we didn't have to hike the yellow trail all the way back, and then took the bus back to town. Our host was kind to offer discounted €2 tickets into the national park. We would definitely recommend this for couples, friends, and solo travelers.
