The dorm was very clean, the bed comfortable and the room looked nice. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. I also liked the option of having breakfast in the Shoki Shoki Guest House close by. Breakfast there was fantastic! The dorm I stayed in had two big fans and an AC. Also the location right in the old part of Stonetown was great.

It was wonderful being able to spend nights in an authentically traditional building with traditional rooms and furniture. It was an excellent way to explore the traditional architecture and decoration of old Zanzibar. The location is perfect. Just behind the famous praying temple and just 5 minutes to the water shores. The owner is very friendly and always eager to make your stay comfortable. The price is reasonable given the excellent location and the traditional environment. This place is a must!
