Where do I start? We really enjoyed our 4-night stay at Daniyar Guesthouse. Our room was quiet, clean, beautifully decorated and toasty warm day and night, which helped a lot as it was still snowing outside when we arrived (end of winter - February). Location-wise, the family-run guesthouse is literally 2 mins walk from Amir Temur Mausoleum ( you can see the whole complex from their rooftop terrace) and about 15 mins walk to Registan Square, the main attraction of Samarkand (don't believe Google Map because it took us to main streets when we could just walk through the lovely Amir Timur Park). We even walked to Bibi-Khanym Mosque, Siyob Bazaar and Shah-i-Zinda Complex (the Necropolis) from our guesthouse (but most tourists and locals would take a taxi). The delicious traditional breakfasts included in the fees kept us happy until almost dinner time. And the review wouldn't be complete without thanking Shohjahon, the host's "personal translator" whose excellent English helped put the icing on the cake for our lovely stay at Daniyar Guesthouse.

Beautiful and tidy house near the city centre. There are a lot of cafes and shops around the accommodation. Owners are the wonderful family. They were so kind, beautiful and friendly. Good breakfast.

Everything was great and it even exceeded our expectations. Breakfast always had some home made delicacies that we absolutely loved! The room was really new so everything worked well (specially the AC which was a big plus since it was over 40 degrees outside). The younger receptionist spoke good English and the older one always had the translator ready to help us since we don’t speak any Russian. Next to the hotel there are plenty of restaurants and shops (also an NBU bank which has the lowest fee for foreigners 1%). Laundry is possible for 5$.

Crystal guest house is a really great place to stay in Samarkand. The owner is incredibly hospitable. The facilities are comfortable, clean and cozy. We also got a room with amazing view on one of the city's sightseeings. The breakfast was delicious and made us feel very homely. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

I felt completely at home here, the 6 days flew by! I loved everything about Grand Nursultan, the cute little tortoises munching the leaves in the beautiful courtyard garden, the location in a lovely lane between Registan and Bibi Khanim mosque, the plentiful & varied breakfast, lovely clean & comfortable room and Noza always keen to provide an excellent service & make you feel welcome.
