What an amazing place! We had a fantastic stay that we will never forget. Nice big property, relaxing by the pool during the hot Kalahari sun. Delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Eye for detail: amenities are well thought of and everything you can imagine has been taken care of. The host is very helpful and nice. She helped us stay some extra nights even though the hotel was full! Thank you so much!

Very friendly and accommodating. It was very hot in Oudtshoorn and they put the aircon on before we arrived so that we entered a cool room. Also checked in very late and they were more than willing to help. Room and beds were very comfortable.

Fantastic location. Stunning interior design. Exceptional service. We were too late in the season to see the whales but to watch huge pods of dolphins cross the bay from our balcony was a real treat.

What a lovely place to stay in Oudrshoorn! It is in a great location right on the main street, close to restaurants. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. We upgraded to a room with a king bed and porch and were just a few steps from the pool and our car in one direction and the breakfast area in the other. The breakfast had lots of choices, both hot and cold, from yogurts to ostrich sausages! They are prepared for load shedding with rechargeable fans and lights. The pool was refreshing after hot days.

Gumtree Lodge is located on the banks of the Grobbelaars River and features an outdoor pool surrounded by a large wooden terrace. It is 3 minutes’ walk from Oudtshoorn's shops and restaurants.

Honestly one of the best stays I've had. Everyone that works there is exceptionally friendly, the cottages are well maintained and clean. I cannot recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back!
