We were welcomed by a friendly smile and our room was great! Bed was comfortable, hot water was perfect, and the inclusion of a small fridge and kettle were very helpful with saving a bit of money on breakfasts. Location is great - easy walk to the docks and close by to Concha for snorkelling. They offer all the most popular Isabela tours, and the prices they quoted us were much better than what we’d already pre-paid on Santa Cruz. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

Er hat uns überraschend von der Fähre abgeholt, zur Unterkunft gefahren, dort Tee und Kaffee gereicht und uns dann das ganze Städtchen gezeigt und tolle Tipps gegeben zum günstig und gut essen etc. Frühstück bei ihm war perfekt mit Tee/Kaffee, Toast, Eiern, Käse,Schinken, Früchten und frischem Saft. Trinkwasser war die ganzen Tage frei verfügbar. Er hat uns super Tipps für Touren und Transporte gegeben und diese für uns organisiert. Auch Fahrräder hat er uns organisiert. Sogar meinen schlimmen Sonnenbrand hat er mit einer Spezialtinktur eingerieben und damit schnell geheilt. Wenn nochmal Galapagos dann unbedingt wieder Isabela und dort auf jeden Fall wieder zu Yackzon.

Er hat für uns die Fähre und Ausflüge gebucht und alles hat wunderbar geklappt! Rundum empfehlenswert!

Very friendly small hotel, great breakfast, the owners was very helpful and interesting to speak to. Our room was large and looked new with good air con. It is in a nice and quiet location but still only 5 minutes walk to restaurants and bars. Isabella is so nice, much quieter than Santa Cruz but still with lots of places to eat and drink.

For a fraction of the price of a fancy hotel, La Flamecos provides the most (if not more) than most of the other hotels on Isabsla. First, amazing location almost surroundded by a picteresque lagoon beloved by flamingoes. My room overlooked the lagoon and I woke up every morning to the magic sight and sound of flamingoes beginning their day and "quarelling" over their territory or the food, or some other flamingo business. The hostal is 1 block away from a beautiful beach (you could hear the waves from the room, but could see them only from balcony outside), restaurants, and tour agencies. It is 5 minutes car ride to the ferry and Concha de Perla, and 10 min walk to the tortoise breeding center. Further down there is a Wall of Tears hike too. Second, on an island with no pavement I had a reliable endless HOT shower in the room! Asking around, even people who shelled out top dollar for beachfront hotels had lukewarm shower. Third, clean bed and room with refrigerator, a/c, balcony to hang the swimsuits, and a proper mosquito net. I tended to use little a/c, but kept my windows open and did not get bitten once. If there were minor annoyances (tiny sink, little ants, dirty spot on the wall, etc.), I just dealt with it, because I could not possibly expect more than I got for the price I paid. And finally - amazing, warm, welcoming staff. Melina and Olga were always there if I needed ANYTHING. Extra blanket, beach towel, advice on tours, taxis, anything I wanted and at any time of the day. By the end of my stay it really felt like being part of their family. Thank you for a wonderful stay and magic memories of Isabela!

Large and clean room with a/c and good wifi. Reading the previous commenter we were worried for wifi but it was perfect. The breakfast was the most varied one compared to the other accommodations we had in islands (granola, yogurt, fresh fruits, omelette with herbs, a piece of cheese or ham, toast or croissant + instant coffee, tea, fresh juice. There are many restaurants and mini-markets around and it’s very close to the “center” :) The owner, as well as his wife and the other staff were really nice and helpful. They helped us with an iron as ours wouldn’t work properly with the plug converter. thank you for everything!
