Nestled in the pretty Gloucestershire village of Coln St Aldwyns, this beautiful country inn offers a garden overlooking meadows and elegant, individually designed rooms with modern amenities.

There is a bar and restaurant on site serving traditional pub food and a sun terrace and garden for al fresco dining. The room was very beautiful, great attention to details. We were pleasantly surprised by the menu in the restaurant, very high class food, very delicious, including the breakfast a la carte. The staff was very friendly.

Fine, local ingredients are used to prepare The Crown Inn’s superb choice of dishes, including the popular, traditional Sunday roasts. It is off the beaten track. I had a single bed room which was large, well furnished and very comfortable. Loved the fact you could see the stars at night with little light pollution. Fantastic evening meal and an excellent breakfast, the homemade baked beans were superb!

The location was excellent. Short walking distance into town with its many restaurants, bars & shops. We didn’t have a car and managed to either walk (we like to walk long distances) or bus to nearby towns. The guest house was lovely. The water pressure in the shower was excellent and bed (double size) and bedding very comfortable. Our hosts Wendy & Clive were so friendly and accommodating. Included breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. We were celebrating an anniversary while there and Wendy added a few surprise treats.

SADLY WE WERE THERE WHEN IT WAS REALLY TERRIBLE STORM BUT WE MADE IT, WE CAME BACK TO THE ROOM AS THE ROADS WERE SO BAD WIT TREES DOW. THE BOOKING CONSISTED OF A LOVELY SITTING ROOM A SMALL KITCHEN/LANDING AREA BEDROOM AND BATHROOM. WE WERE GREATED BY TE HOST WHEN WE ARRIVED AND THEY WERE REALLY FRIENDLY.
