The house is beautiful; the room is enormous with an even bigger bathroom with separate shower and tub. The room boasts extravagant furnishings and an even more extravagant view of the Scottish Border hills. We were greeted with cheerful, kind, words and gestures that are unmatched (and we have traveled extensively). Love this place and Moffat but especially Karen and David; they are true gems!

The empathy of the host was amazing. Breakfast suited to the wishes of the guest but she was also helping with issues that were not related at all to the guest house, but to my own cycle plans. One of those hosts and places I ‘ll always remember. Whenever a bed needed here around I’ll try this one first.

Our hosts Kevin and Nikki were extremely helpful and friendly and they cook up a great breakfast. We stayed for two nights and, after exploring the surrounding region each day, we enjoyed two lovely dinners at The Murray Arms and The Ship Inn. On both occasions, the food was excellent and the staff were courteous and friendly.

I was met with a friendly welcome and felt well looked after from start to finish. The breakfast was excellent.

It is set 14 km from Caerlaverock Castle and offers full-day security. The bed and breakfast features family rooms. I adored staying at Ferintosh Guest House! It was in a convenient location, safe and had all the necessities I needed. The breakfasts were just lovely (I’m still missing them!) and the room itself provided a quiet location to rest my head and relax after a day out exploring. The shower had piping hot water and great pressure, and the tea and coffee options in the room meant I always had a hot drink at hand. Closet and drawer space were ample and the room had plenty of hooks and hangers for my things. I loved sitting in the armchair in the room to read at night, and appreciated having a full length mirror! Robertson makes everything easy for your stay, he is a wonderful communicated and considerate in what is made available for your stay. It’s so refreshing from staying at other places that take days to respond back (If they do at all!). Staying at Ferintosh was one of the highlights of my trip, and I have nothing but thanks and gratitude for Robertson for providing such a wonderful stay. (And many lovely chats!) I will absolutely be back and can only sing praises for this property. You can book with confidence when you book at Ferintosh Guest House. 10/10

The property is situated 26 km from Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, 32 km from Caerlaverock Castle and 44 km from Cumbria County Council. University of Cumbria is 45 km from the bed and breakfast. Breakfast was delicious with a lovely hot meal cooked to perfection. Our host Christine was over the top lovely and so welcoming. Every question we asked was answered. Christine was so helpful and willing to give us suggestions on our travel route as well as recommendations for a dinner venue.

The hostel is absolutely fabulous. Amazing rooms and the common areas are so cozy. The kitchen is so well equipped and the owners were so lovely. Would definitely recommend staying there, such a great hostel!
