Set in secluded gardens, Clementine's Guest House, has free WiFi and characterful rooms. Clementine's Guest House.

Clementine's Guest House is just a 10-minute stroll from the historic city centre and picturesque Shambles shopping area. York Railway Station can be reached in a 20-minute walk. Beautiful room, attention to detail and decor, treats for the guest like bathrobes, slippers, welcoming chocolates etc. The staff was absolutely fantastic, especially Cameron who did our check-in, he went the extra mile to make sure we are comfortable and he also helped us to plan our trip around the city to make the most out of the limited time we had in York. Breakfast was worth the money. Access to parking on the premises was also a win for us. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Pearly Cow is there for when something more substantial is needed. Pearly Cow is a new restaurant at 1, Clifton that is devoted to respecting what thrives nearby – the herds, breeds, crops, and catches that sum up the area’s flavour. The produce of land and sea we source is strictly the best – the wildest. Breakfast is light, hearty, or kick-starting with oysters and spiced-as-you-like bloody Marys. Lunch and dinner feature star ingredients in classics, interpretations, sharing dishes, and divine desserts. And kids have their own Pearly Calves menu. Afternoon tea is afternoon sea – a very fresh take on this timeless treat. And on Sundays, traditional roasts bring a beautiful close to the week A very nice room with kind staff. The room was clean and big, and we loved the personal touch for our honeymoon. Being able to use the pantry was lovely! It was filled with all sorts of snacks. The location was very close to the centre of York, a short walk to the Minster. The breakfast was superb as well!

Situated just 300 metres from York Minster, Minster Walk Guest House is a charming 300-year old coaching inn with free WiFi.

The individually designed rooms have a flat-screen TVs, Egyptian cotton bed linen, and tea and coffee making facilities. Some rooms have views of York Minster. Each offers en-suite facilities with luxury toiletries. This guesthouse was so fantastic I had to leave a bit of a longer review than i normally would. My wife and I love the city of York anyway so we were excited to be coming back. But walking in the front door of this gorgeous, quirky guesthouse we knew we were in for a treat. We have quirky and eclectic tastes anyway, and this guesthouse far exceeded our expectations. Firstly the room was lovely and comfortable, and we felt right at home. But it's the front 'lounge/chill out' area that is the best thing. It's like stepping into someone's funky lounge room, actually a bit like our place lol. The owner has such great tastes. Lot's of knick knacks everywhere, funky little corners to chill out in, books everywhere to read. We got a great Nepalese takeout from down the road, a bottle of wine, and spent the night together reading some of the books to each other laughing and having such a wonderful and relaxing time. The place is so comfortable, nooky and feels so nice. And super close to town. I would recommend this place to everyone, and we can't wait to stay there again. The staff in the morning we spoke to were super lovely too. I wanted to say to the owner and the staff thank you from my wife and I, and please don't change anything about this place. There are already so many generic boring places out there to stay in. This place's differences are what makes it so refreshing
