This place located in a small town near Malang. It runs by a family and Mrs. Mary took 2 of her independent rooms as hotel. There is super nice mountain view and the whole atmosphere is sooo chill. The room is quite big. The host even gave us some passion fruits and papaya grown from their farm. It is not far from Mt. Bromo and Tumpak Sewu - both takes 1.5h to drive there. There are hardly any tourists in this small town and when we were walking to a restaurant, the people were so curious and greeting us friendly, the kids on the street waved to us and say hello. It was such an amazing experience! The sunset of with rice field view in the small town is also really really beautiful. There is also a good and modern restaurant 20 min walk from our stay and it is designed to see the sunset with a big balcony, the food is very nice too

The rooms were immaculately clean and equipped with all modern amenities. We mostly ate outside but used the common facility for tea/ coffee. The whole area was managed nicely.

The place has everything, from the friendly and helpful staff to the sounds and smells of nature. We had a mixed feeling about the location. It’s relatively close to the Tegalluar Whoosh train station (around 30 mins by car) but quite far from the city center or Dago or Lembang area. If you want to see Bandung too, maybe it’s best to stay in two different places because it’s just more convenient. All the photos are representative of the reality. While the place is quite far from restaurants, it actually offers decent and rather affordable food and beverages. All made with TLC. Value for money was also excellent.

It is great if you would like to be more closely to some Indonesian way of living beyond the standard big hotels. I would immediately stay there again.

Really liked the nice neighborhood and the size of the homestay- high ceilings and spacious social area felt like a comfortable family home. Our host set up our trekking tour for us with a great guide- everything included- which was so easy, and we had great laundry service done. Water, tea and coffee available to self-serve and beer was available for purchase- nice details!

The location of the place is very convenient, 20 minute walk from the train station. The room was on the smaller side, but we didn't spend too much time inside anyway, so that wasn't an issue. The place itself is great, room is clean, the garden and the hostel territory is nice with a lot of shaded areas to spend time if it gets too hot. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, homecooked local food. If you're planning to go see the temples in and around the city, this is a great place to stay, absolutely worth the money.
