We had a wonderful stay! The hosts speak perfect English and are incredibly kind and helpful — always available to guide us and offer great suggestions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and we slept amazingly well. This is quite rare in Karimunjawa, where nighttime can be noisy due to prayer speakers — here, instead, we found true peace and quiet. We had originally planned to stay only three nights before moving elsewhere, but if we could go back, we’d definitely spend our whole time at Loyal Friend. It truly felt like home. The location is excellent: just a short distance from both the center and the harbor. We also rented a scooter at a very fair price — it was in great condition and gave us no issues at all. This is a special place that we’ll always carry in our hearts, and we recommend it wholeheartedly and without hesitation.

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. I liked how they provided mosquito lotion and the breakfast was exceptional. You are surrounded by nature so do expect animals around the area. The Air conditioning was fantastic and made the stay very comfortable.

Close to Prambanan temple it is comfortable and the staff are very good. Mine host is eager to please offering transportation to sunrise spots and other attractions. The breakfast is very good, plenty of water, tea and coffee. Reliable hot water for showering and the building and furnishings are charming.

Quiet but central wooden huts. Breakfast (we were the only guests but got a very good cappuchino and traditional Indonesian rice free breakfast. Very helpful were free bicycles to the Borobodur temple area entrance which is now no longer a short walking distance, but has been recently moved a 20-30 walk away. Important about Borobodur under the new regime: Make sure you book online ahead of time the „structural tour“ with roof access. Without it you will likely be disappointed.

In 10 days of traveling around Java I had not stayed in a place that was so nice to be inside. The room was terrifically clean, the size ample, the air conditioner worked well, there was hot water, and a nice porch out front. My only suggestion would be to place a wall mounted electric fan on the front porch so that guests can be outside more comfortably
