Breakfast was absolutely amazing, homecooked local food. If you're planning to go see the temples in and around the city, this is a great place to stay, absolutely worth the money.

On the day of my arrival, I was invited to partake tasty food from the cooking class. Coffee, tea and snacks are made available to guests. Single room is clean and pretty cosy. Bed is comfortable and aircon is really cool. There isn't any problem with wifi connection. Jalan Malioboro, Taman Sari and the Kraton are just a short grab ride away should one do not wish to walk in the heat. Would definitely stay at Villa Sambal if I were to visit Yogyakarta again.
